LOCAL RESOURCES
- Holland Hospital offers FREE smoking cessation classes through their Center For Good Health. Classes are ongoing.
- Zeeland Community Hospital offers FREE smoking cessation classes through a partnership with Tobacco Free Partners of Grand Rapids. Tobacco Free Partners offer classes and support groups at locations throughout west Michigan. Please visit their site (www.tobaccofreepartners.org) to learn more.
- Quit Smart Program - offered through Jenison Psychological Services. Provide individual counseling session by a certified smoking cessation instructor. Also provide onsite cessation classes for businesses. For more information and cost of services, call 616.457.0016
- Breathe Free - Seventh-day Adventist Church cessation classes available for companies and individuals. Successfully helping smokers since 1964. Call 616.355.2877 in Holland or 616.846.1170 in Grand Haven for more information and availability near you.
- Nicotine Anonymous - a Non-Profit 12 Step Fellowship of men and women helping each other live nicotine-free lives. Kent Community Hospital in Grand Rapids, 750 Fuller NE, hosts meetings Tues. and Sat. in Room 600. Call Dave Garvey at 616.235.1427
- Check with Your Health Insurance Provider - many larger plans offer smoking cessation help.
- American Cancer Society - staff are available to answer questions on how companies can begin the process of becoming smoke-free. Also, they are able to assist individuals in finding a cessation program that fits their needs. Call 616.396.5576
